  What's Happening  ............

The sun comes up & the sun goes down, & the hands on the clock are going round and round. Yes, at times. even at a ministry things can get very routine. It can even begin to feel like a “job”. And then we open a letter, or e-mail, or get a phone call, that reminds us of why we are here. Every month tens of thousands of listeners receive from this ministry. Some of them let us know, and for that we are so grateful.

It seems that this summer “skip” has been worse than usual. There are times when distant FM stations greatly interfere with local FM stations. I know of nothing that can be done to stop it. When receiving interference you can go to the internet to listen, or use your phone (put it on speaker phone). You can connect on our website at kjic.org or phone 281.824.3134.

School is in session. Pray for our kids and for their teachers. Pray that they will be strong and bold as they stand for truth. Give them a word of encouragement. And while you are praying, be mindful of those fellow believers who are unemployed. A word of encouragement or even a monetary gift may be in order for them. Let the church be the Church.

And yes, we also do appreciate your prayers. I know that many of you pray for us regularly.

WHO WE ARE

Community Radio, Inc is a non-profit corporation in the state of Texas since 1978. Board members are all zealous for the Lord Jesus and for this ministry. We are also recognized by the IRS as a 501 c 3 charitable organization. This makes all gifts to the ministry tax deductible.

We are licensed by the Federal Communications Commission to operate KJIC as a non-commercial FM station.

We are Christians in our religious persuasion, not separated by denominational barriers. We believe in the one God of the Holy Bible, manifest as the heavenly Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in salvation from the guilt and power of sin by God's favor, through our faith, to enable us to do good works. We believe King Jesus will return to bless the saints and judge the world.

OUR PURPOSE

It's our desire to be used by God in ministry to others. We hope to bring comfort, encouragement, and spiritual strength to the church, and "light" to those in darkness. We hope to be used by Him.

We broadcast His Word by radio, print, the internet, conversation, or any other means available to us. We do this with expectation.

OUR FORMAT

We are traditional gospel music radio. Most hours we do play two programs 1 to 5 minutes in length, but you are never far from music. Our music points to Jesus and all that He has provided, and to our celebration of life in Him.
