Larnelle receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Written by on September 12, 2017

“You Can’t Put Out The Fire, Teach Me To Love, I Choose Joy”, are just a few of Larnelle’s top songs, and its no wonder that the Orchestra Kentucky honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award. This award has only been handed out to a select few including artists like Paul Williams, Peter of The Monkees.

The Orchestra’s Director Jeff Reed says “He has had a major impact on gospel music worldwide, which has brought great honor to Bowling Green, his adopted hometown. So far, I have had the unique opportunity of working with Larnelle, and three different orchestras, on nine different occasions. Not only is he an incredible artist, but he is a wonderful person, whom I’m proud to call my friend.”
