Pop superstar, and now outspoken Christian Justin Bieber confirmed recently that he has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. He took to social media responding to comments that lately he’s look drugged up, and weak, when in actuality, he says this disease is taking a toll on him, his health, energy and looks. Lyme disease is an infectious disease caused by bacterium spread by ticks, with symptoms ranging from flu-like, migraines, and redness on the skin.
Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director and now pro-life advocate has launched a new ministry called LoveLine, a dedicated central database of public assistance programs and a 24/7 helpline for anyone in crisis. Abby hopes the ministry will reach women seeking unplanned pregencies who cant afford to pay basic bills, need assistance, advice or who even just want to talk.
And closer to home, changes will be taking place in the medical center. Shriners Hospital will be closing its doors and merging services and doctors at its Galveston complex. This will happen sometime next year and the decision comes about as a shock to many Houstonians. Shiners says this closing is to prevent patients from having to drive back and forth from the island to downtown, and they also say all services in the downtown center will be offered at the Galveston hospital.
