Understand Chick-Fil-A | Pastor Killed in Mexico | Tom Hanks Related to Mr Rogers

Sean Vaughn November 20, 2019

Let’s clear some things up about what’s going on with Chick-Fil-A & the continuous backlash they are receiving online. To start things off, The Salvation Army released a written statement expressing disappointment in loosing a “corporate partner”. Last year, they received $115k from Chick-Fil-A. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes received 1.65 million in 2018. While it’s true that the reason they wont renew donations with these ministries is in part due to their stance on biblical marriage, they also want people to know they will be donating to other homeless & hunger Charities, and more. Still, upsetting though fans and major figures such as Mike Huckabee say they still feel betrayed by Chick-Fil-A. LGBT+ groups continue to pressure the fast food chain to cut all ties with any Christian group that doesn’t support their views on marriage. Chick-Fil-A is now one of the Top 10 most trending topics on social media, but sadly for the wrong reason.

A pastor was shot yesterday in Mexico at a stoplight in Juarez. KTSM News says the pastor was in the car with another man (also injured) and their identities have not been released. The drug war continues to rage, and drug lords fight over territory.

Well its pretty cool that Tom Hanks is playing Mr Rogers in the new movie, but even cooler, Tom Hanks has recently learned he is related to Mr Rogers. Ancestry figures the two are 6th cousins and their common ancestor was Johannes Meffert. This ancestor immigrated from Germany to America in the 18th century. The film A Beautiful Day In the Neighborhood premieres November 22nd.
