Chick-Fil-A’s CEO Dan Cathy recently wrote a letter to AFA’s President Tim Wildmon expressing his regrets for the confusion and misleading for his company stopping support for the Salvation Army and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He wrote in the letter that the company had made the decision to change giving parameters not based on the LGBT community pressuring them to change, but to make a bigger impact more locally. AFA’s President said the letter was positive news in clarification. Dan also says that Chick-Fil-A corporate giving “has always been to have impact, not to make a statement or support a political or social agenda.”
207 members of congress have signed a legal brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Roe vs Wade. The court will hear oral arguments beginning March 2nd.
