Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.
Faith can be scary. How are we supposed to just know that all will be ok?
We don't have to know, God knows.
There have been 2 times in our marriage that we have had no income for months at a time and that is scary. You don't have control over what the creditors will do. You know they want what you owe them but you don't know the extent they will go to get it.
Your mind start reeling and you try to figure out what you can do. The first you think is, ok what can we sell to get enough money to make at least one payment? What can we do now to make this better?
The last thing you do is pray and ask God for guidance....life has taken over and gotten in the way.
Well that was our thought process at first but then it quickly turned to God. Because we knew that with Him all things are possible.
This last time we quit our jobs because of a calling so we figured well if God called us then there is a reason for all of this.
Prayer began and we asked for provision and guidance. There was no way we could pay what we owed and that can bring anxiety. So we needed to lean into the Lord.
With our faith set on God and knowing He had a plan we were able to focus on Him during this tough season.
God did and continues to provide. He showed us where to go and what needs to be done. We are so thankful for the faith foundation that we have and that God always brings us back to seeking Him.
Faith is belief and trust in God. God shows us over and over that He is good and trustworthy. I have complete confidence in God knowing that because He cares for us He will see us through any season we come upon and that whatever happens is because of God.
