Job 36:22-26 says, “Look, God is all-powerful. Who is a teacher like him? No one can tell him what to do, or say to him, ‘You have done wrong.’ Instead, glorify his mighty works, singing songs of praise. Everyone has seen these things, though only from a distance. Look, God is greater than we can understand. His years cannot be counted.”
Job went through all things that would test anyone's limits but he knew that with God he would make it through. He knew his faith in a limitless God would see him through any trial he would face. We can also rely on God in that same way.
We all have limits, and we have been pushed to them from time to time. Whether it's long days, work deadlines, mental exhaustion, or physical fatigue, we all experience our boundaries. However, God is not confined by limitations.
It's challenging to comprehend a God who can do everything when we ourselves are limited. Yet, when we observe the world around us, we witness the vastness of His creation. We can discern His boundlessness simply by looking at all that He has made.
Genesis 2:1-3 states, "So the heavens and the earth and everything in them were completed. On the seventh day, God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation."
God's unfailing, limitless love for us can sometimes seem hard to understand. However, God has no limit in loving us; He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us, guide us, and demonstrate His love in many ways.
Ephesians 3:19 says, "May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."
Since God’s love is limitless and knows no bounds, He fills us with His love. Thus, we can firmly and confidently know that when things seem limited, our God’s love is boundless.
The love of God is unlike any love we will ever experience. Because of that, when we are filled with His love, we can walk around with joy in our hearts and genuinely share the love He provides.
There is a hymn that says, “the love of God so rich and pure, so measureless and strong.” God’s love embodies all those qualities, providing us with a foundation of unchanging and limitless love.
Four years ago, when the world seemed to almost come to a halt, I wrote this short post: “Things seem limited right now... work, groceries, paper goods... BUT GOD is limitless. Depend on Him.”
Philippians 4:6 says, "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done."
We may find ourselves worrying—it's in our nature. But knowing that God is our provider, we shouldn't worry about anything. He alone knows our path and our needs better than we do. So, when we turn to God in prayer, asking for provision, we can be confident that He will provide exactly what is needed.
We shouldn’t limit God according to our standards; instead, we should look to Him and remember that He makes all things work together for our good and His glory. He is truly limitless.
