God is Truth

Replacing lies of the enemy with the truth of the Bible and what God says.

We can often believe the lies of the enemy and we need to learn how to combat those and know what God says.

2 Corinthians 10:5 says, “We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.”

So, let’s cover some scriptures today and that can better help us to hear God over the lies.

A lie is anything that doesn’t line up with God’s goodness for you. However, the truth is that God has good plans for you, He made you into a masterpiece, He can redeem any situation. Truth is all of God’s promises found in the Bible that are ours through Jesus Christ. Both the Old Testament and New Testament points to our ultimate Truth, which is Jesus. Through Jesus, there are no hopeless endings. With Jesus there is hope and victory. He has taken all of our brokenness, so we could be whole and healed in mind, body, soul and spirit.

1 Corinthians 1:20 says, “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.”

Because of the Bible and that God sent Jesus to fulfill prophesy we can trust the what God says is true.

As we read, meditate and memorize God’s Truth, we fill our mind with the wonderful things of God. We need to replace the lies in our lives with the truth of the Lord. When you dig into scripture, you start to saturate your mind with what is true it replaces those lies.

I have a few verses that I have on repeat in my mind when I feel like I’m struggling to remember the truth that God has told me.

One in Isaiah 40:31 which says, “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

This on helps me to remember that when I am feeling tired and weary God is my strength.

And the other is Isaiah 41:10 – “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

This on helps me to remember that I don't need to be worried or afraid but God is holding me up with His victorious right hand.

Both of these scriptures it shows me the power of God and through God’s strength I can make it through anything.

The highest and truest way God chose to reveal Himself is through His Word. For this reason, the scriptures anchor us to what is good and what is Holy.

Lies can’t take root if there is no room from them to grow, and we can combat that growth when we flood our minds with Christian resources (the Bible, sermons, Christian music, podcasts and books), In these fear will be dispersed.

God’s Word is full of reminders of the truth of every child of God. When the lies creep in, remind yourself and your enemy of the truth.

Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”

The more our mind is filled with God’s truth of love, goodness, favor and grace, the less the enemy can sneak in lies. Fill your lives with the truth of God. Find scriptures that go head to head with lie you are facing and stand on the Word of God.
