Hands and Feet of Jesus

Romans 12: 4-5 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.

To work together as the Body of Christ is to be of one mind, and that is to focus on what God wants from us. As it continues in Romans 12, we all have gifts that are given to us, and we should use those gifts to work as one. If you are good at something, then take that up and do it, and allow others to do other things they are good at that you may not be.

Be the hands and feet of Jesus by:

Treating others with love, kindness, and compassion. Help those who are in need, whether it's through acts of service, listening, or simply offering a comforting presence.

Practicing forgiveness and reconciliation. Just as Jesus forgave, strive to forgive those who have wronged you and work towards resolving conflicts peacefully.

Spending time in prayer and reflection to grow spiritually and seek guidance on how you can better serve others in your unique way.

Sharing your resources, whether it's money, time, or skills, to help those in need. Generosity is a key aspect of following in Jesus's footsteps.

Being part of a church community allows you to collaborate with others to make a greater impact in your efforts to serve others. Many churches have outreach programs and opportunities for service.

Being the hands and feet of Jesus is not just about specific actions but also about adopting a mindset of selflessness, compassion, and service in your everyday life. It's about living a life that reflects the teachings and values of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Shine you light for all to see.
