How do you see it?... Are you looking at things through your human perspective or are you asking God to help you see things through His guided never failing faithful perspective?
Let’s talk about perspective and how when we look to God, we see things so differently than we would if we just look through our own eyes.
It is vital for us to go to our creator and ask him to show us things the way He sees them.
So many times, I have jumped to conclusions and thoughts and may have even said something because I thought I heard or saw something with a clear perspective only to learn how much I actually misunderstood and then jump to conclusions. That is so embarrassing. Over time I’ve come to learn about discernment and going to God with things I don’t understand. It has saved me a lot of unnecessary conversations and hurt. Seeking God before saying something, even if it needs to be a quick prayer, that is better than speaking from reaction or emotion and then regretting it.
Matthew 6:22 says, “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light.”
We need to make sure we are seeing things through a Christ like perspective so that we are able to discern and navigate this life with a little more ease.
We are not perfect, and we fail but with God, He can help us to heal all that is broken and in that our perspective will change to be more focused on Him and not on the things of this world.
With Jesus as my Savior, I have been able to overcome and walk through a lot of healing. I know have a different perspective of why I do certain things and in that I have learned and unlearned a lot. I look to God daily so that I can grow more in Him.
Colossians 3:1-2 says, “Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.”
We need to look to the Lord and remember we are saved by His grace. The reality of it all is that He loves us and chooses us, and He wants us to come to Him and to keep our focus on Him.
Have you ever been walking through a situation and wondered how you were going to make it through, or is it ever going to end? YES, is my answer.
We can get so caught up in our troubles that we get lost and forget that God is there to help us through.
2 Corinthians 4:8 says, “So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”
When you feel like life is to much and what you are walking through is never going to end and it is consuming so much of your life and who you are, turn to God and pray. Then remember that He has it. Let’s not forget even after we prayed that we have handed our situation to the Lord.
Fix your eyes on Him and let Him take care of you through it. Your burden will be lighter as He carries the heavy load for you.
