It's called Chicken Math. Those who have backyard chickens know exactly what I mean. We started with 4 chickens...one for each member of the family. But when one of "the girls" was fatally attacked, we were down to 3 chickens. In keeping with Chicken math, we replaced the one with two new chickens. Now we had 5. Soon we realized that our 5 were each giving us one egg a day. However, we also realized with the cost of the coop, the run, the feed, the treats and the equipment they were expensive. So, in accordance with the law of Chicken math...we bought 7 more chickens so now we have 12 chickens. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense but Chicken math is REAL.
What the chickens taught me is God has a form of the same for His children....He knows that we are messy, hard to lead, noisy complainers sometimes and don't always get along. But He continues to care for us, provide for us and love us despite of our struggles. In 2 Corinthians 9:8 it says - "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
So, my little "chickies," Let's do some good work...God has provided all that we need to thrive.
