We all have friends and we all have gotten to know them over time. Some connections are instant and some take time but in the end those who we connect with is so special.
When I first met one of my closest friends a few years ago we literally just asked each other a bunch of questions, some serious and some random, just to get to know each other and to see how like minded we were. This was a fun way to get to know each other and helped us to understand each other pretty quickly. The bond we started just from those questions was amazing.
Romans 12:10 - Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.
We can achieve this by taking the time to really get to know someone.
On the Rise and Shine show this morning we decided to do that and to include our listeners in that. Susan and I asked each other questions that helped us get to know each other better but also so you would be able to know us better. You listen to us and may wonder about who we are and that was my intention on picking this topic today.
Hearing from our listening and letting them know a little about us was fun.
It's fun finding people you can say "oh me too" with and that is where connections form.
If you find those you connect with and lift each other up and stand with them then I say stick with them. They are special.
Proverbs 27:17 - As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.
