The other day my husband and I went to some friends house that we haven't seen in a while. When we were there some other friends who live next door came home so I went over to talk to them.
All 4 of us ladies were just talking and asking how each other were doing and listening to what we were walking through but also listening to the ways God was moving in each others lives.
We all ended up smiling and being extremely happy because we could see that we were following the Lord guidance in our lives. We were listening and rooting for each other and coming together as a community to celebrate the work the Lord was doing through our struggles, our waiting and every day circumstances.
Those moments are special moments because we are sharing the hope of the Lord and the work the Lord is doing. We all have different things going on but the timing of us all unintentionally coming together and having this amazing conversation to rejoice in the Lord seemed intentional. God was moving in and through us.
After we all left feeling a little more peace, a little more connected because we not only know God is always working we got to hear of His great works.
Community is important for many reasons, but walking in this life and getting to share the grace, mercy, kindness, love, understanding, of Christ is why we need community. It gives us hope in times of need and it encourages us as well.
Paul writes in the to the Ephesians in Chapter 1:15 - 18
Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.
Thank you Lord for the knowledge we can all grow in everyday. I pray that everyone will be flooded by your love, light and confidence. Thank you Lord for your glorious inheritance.
